Lunch and Learn: The Science of Butterflies with Master Gardener

Have you ever wanted to host butterflies in your backyard? Come discover actionable, science-based tips you can use to attract and host the Jewels of the garden to your outdoor spaces.

Join the Center for Sustainability Education at Dickinson College in Kaufman Hall 178 from 12-1:00 pm to learn about The Science of Butterflies from Penn State Master Gardener, Heather Andrews. This is a FREE interactive workshop and demonstration. Bring your lunch and learn about butterflies, their importance in our ecosystem, and how we can help support them.

Heather Andrews is a published author, photographer, and speaker who routinely works with homeowners and businesses to create sustainable native pollinator habitats. She is a two time recipient of the “Garden of Distinction” award by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and her award winning photographs and articles have been featured in magazines and on Medium. On her YouTube Channel, Garden Thoughtfully, Heather encourages gardeners to provide wildlife habitat and fuel for native pollinators and improve vegetable yield via pollinator hedgerows/corridors.
